	Help save public broadcasting! If you or your kids/grandkids were raised on Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, etc., or if you've geeked out on Masterpiece Theatre (Downton Abbey!), Doc Martin, or other PBS programming, or if you're life has been enriched by any of the multitude of amazing NPR programs, PLEASE help save public TV and public radio by making (or upping) a donation to your favorite local PBS or NPR station. Don't let those who want to "make America dumb" win!
	Saturday, August 23rd: Join in an interfaith silent solidarity march to the Portland ICE facility. Meet at Elisabeth Caruthers Park at 6:30pm, and bring flowers to protest injustice and remember those who have been taken!
	Ongoing (monthly): Join Act for Democracy for their in-person monthly get-togethers, to discuss local issues and how to make a difference!
	Looking for ways to fight climate injustice? Here are a few suggestions on how you can make a difference: Get involved with the League Of Conservation Voters (LCV) to help advocate for policies that protect our environment and our democracy! Take Action with the Sierra Club to show your support for environmental issues. Current petitions include fighting for clean energy, protecting and expanding Green jobs, and so many others!
	With so little transparency in what DOGE and the administration are doing with our data, it’s a good idea to take steps to protect your credit. This site will walk you through how to freeze (and unfreeze) your credit, and why and when this should be done.

	The US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has been fighting the global HIV/AIDS epidemic for over 21 years, saving over 26 million lives. Send an email to Congress to request that they continue supporting this worthwhile program!
	Dissolving USAID will lead to increased illness, starvation, and death in low income countries. Want to help fill the void and assist developing countries with building sustainable food sources? Check out Heifer International for ways that you can make a difference!
	Shop your values! Check out this list of companies and where they stand on DEI to see which ones deserve more love and which ones you may want to avoid!

	Check up on your friends and neighbors, and make sure they're okay. This is a lot, and some handle the stress less well than others.
